With a small yard like mine, the standard 18 -21 inch electric mowers were hard to maneuver and too heavy. Although just somewhat lighter than my old 18 inch Toro, this maneuverable 14 incher is still much better for my small yard. It's also a nice product. The engine is quiet even for an electric, and it's 8 amps are more than the 6.5A in the my old 18in Toro, so the engine has some grunt when the grass gets thick. Plastic housing is light but stiff and should be durable. I would say this is a well engineered and well built product overall. I have been using this unit to mow about 800 sqft of lawn for a few months now, so I think that's enough time to render a verdict. I've been very impressed with it's performance and reliability. It is very easy to operate, cuts cleanly, and can be used to mulch, bag, or discharge. You may be able to get a better mower with a larger cutting deck or more power, but it will cost much more and/or be gas-powered. Great States 204-14 14-Inch Deluxe Hand Reel Push Lawn Mower

Item arrived by second day and took under five minutes to unpack and assemble. My lawn is a strip 15 x 65'; using the mower I cut it in about the same time it usually took to get out my old gasoline mower, check oil and fuel, pull to start, pull some more, swear a little, get it going. Yeah, I have to make more passes with the 14" width of cut, but I'd still have to push the old gas hog back and forth as well. Plus: light enough to pick up with one hand; stores on a hanger on the door; makes a very clean cut; very quiet. Bonus: amazing number of people stop to watch, fascinated by it.
